RIAA

The RIAA is blowing more of their money on a new wave of lawsuits. They’ve been suffering from a three-year decline in sales of albums and singles. This, they blame on “the proliferation of free and illegal music downloads on the Web through sites such as Kazaa, Grokster and Gnutella.” It couldn’t, of course, have anything to do with the three-year economic slump the entire country has been experiencing. Or the decline in the quality of music being produced. Or perhaps a reaction to their attacks against file sharing that started about, let’s see, three years ago. No, despite the fact that peer-to-peer music sharing has been around for at least the last 5-6 years and their decline in sales started about 3 years ago, it couldn’t possibly be any of those other factors.
