One Year Anniversary
It was one year ago today on a Monday morning that I began working here at SeeBeyond Technology Corporation (formerly known as Software Technology Corporation). It doesn’t feel like a year. Feels longer, actually, but short at the same time. Hard to explain. It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago that I dropped everything in Gainesville, piled all of my worldly possessions into a trailer, and hauled ass across the bottom of the US with Bill. But it also feels like I’ve been working for longer than a year. In some ways I have. If you count the number of hours I’ve spent in the office in the last 52 weeks, it’d be a good deal more than 2080. As my coworkers have said, working at SeeBeyond for 1 year is like working for 2 or 3 at other companies. It’s too bad I can’t say that on my resume. So yeah, it’s been a year now. I didn’t even realize until just now. So here it is, my unspectacular celebration of my first year as, as Amanda puts it, a Real Person.
